Chusovskoe lake
3 day trip
Ideal for a group of 3-5 people
It is a trip to the very north of the Perm Territory where Chusovskoe lake is located in taiga. This lake is considered the largest in the Western Ural region. Chusovskoe lake is located on the north of Cherdynsky hard-to-reach territory. There are no roads leading to the lake and suitable for vehicles. Taiga spreads to hundreds of kilometers around the lake without any human dwelling. Chusovoe lake is a true paradise for ducks and fish.
Programme of the tour:
1 day
Group assembly, departure for Nyrob (350 km) by a cross-country vehicle. Arriving in Nyrob, breakfast. Group assembly, taking a motor boat to Chusovoe lake. This lake is the largest in the Ural region. It can be accessed by river Kolva and then by river Visherka the banks of which are rich in game birds and wild animals. This unique place is the habitat for a fish hawk, included into endangered-species list. Camp setting in Sem-Sosen, lunch, rest, personal time. Fishing, field inspection and excursion to used to be Chusovsky settlement upon request. Dinner by the fire, overnight stay in tents.
2 day
Getting up, breakfast. Group assembly and taking a motor boat to Chusovskoe lake (2 hours). Chusovskoe lake is rather large. It covers the area of over 9 km long and over 3 km wide thus when rain clouds are hanging above one side of the lake the bright sun is shining above the other. The lake is rather shallow. Its depth doesn’t exceed 1.5-2 meters along its full area. Due to sufficient warming it is rich in plankton and fish thus is very popular among anglers. Swampy banks are a real paradise for ducks. The lake is declared a natural landmark. The remains of ancient people’s habitats as far as 5000 BC are found on the banks of the lake.
Lunch on the bank of the river (fish soup as an option), Free time
Returning to the camp. Dinner, rest, free time.

10.00 Group assembly, taking a motor boat back to Nyrob settlement
14.00 Arrival, lunch, changing for the vehicle and transfer to Perm
23.00 Approximate time of arrival to Perm
